About
Cleaning American bathrooms since 1923
Ty-D-Bol introduced the first automatic bowl cleaner more than a century ago. We're still at it, and still family-owned.

Heritage
A century of American cleaning
Ty-D-Bol started in 1923 with the first automatic bowl cleaner — the one that turned the water blue and made it stay clean between scrubs. American bathrooms have looked different ever since.
Today the brand is made by Willert Home Products, a family-owned company that's been operating out of St. Louis, Missouri since 1946. The Willert family has run it the entire time.
We manufacture in the USA. That isn't a marketing claim, it's how we've always done it. Same family, same factory, same standard — from the original blue tablet to today's foaming, rust, and stain formulas. Built to work the hundredth time the way it did the first.
As Seen On TV
You’ve probably met him.
Meet the Ty-D-Bol Man. He waved from a tiny rowboat inside the tank — same blue water, same calm grin — through American living rooms across the 70s and into the 80s. By the time the spots stopped airing, he was one of the most recognizable mascots in household advertising.
The commercials are gone. The boat isn’t. Same mascot, same blue water, same family making it in St. Louis.
